AIU VIOLENT ATTACK PROGRAM

AIU has recently launched a Violent Attack Policy (aka Active Shooter Insurance). Unfortunately, in the world we all live in this is a real threat, and there is a need to minimize that exposure by putting focused coverage in place. While there are a number of other product offerings within the market highlighting this type of coverage, their extensive research has determined that in most instances it hasn’t been reasonably priced. Also, it’s often sold with inadequate coverage limits, and may not provide broad enough coverage for the potential loss or damage that can be caused by such an occurrence. Additionally, there is an assumption that the standard GL policy will cover you in the event of a violent attack. Industry experts have stated that many GL policies will not cover this type of event, and even where there is some level of coverage in place there is certainly no immediate response to assist insured’s. The program is a brand new product offering with a $5 million dollar coverage limit per occurrence and very broad coverage definitions. This product is priced extremely competitively as well.
